$ 2,900.00 For Island Wedding Package Only $ 1,900 Onboard Ship
Package
Disney Cruise Line Wedding
The Wedding Package is an
"add-on" on top of your regular cruise fare. The price
is $1900 for an onboard wedding or $2900 for a
Castaway Cay wedding.
In either case, the legally
binding portion of the marriage is actually
accomplished before you get on the ship. Your marriage
license is completed in the cruise terminal. So
technically you are already married when you start the
cruise.
If you choose an onboard
wedding, it is held either on Deck 7 (there is a small
"secret" sun deck there) or in one of the lounges. The
wedding ceremony is followed immediately by a cake
cutting and champagne toast.
The Castaway Cay wedding is a
bit more involved. The cruise line gets you off the
ship before the rest of the passengers. The bride is
transported by golf cart to the wedding location
(usually the Heads Up Bar, at the end of the family
beach) and then the groom is brought to the location.
After the ceremony, the wedding party is transported
back to the ship and does a cake cutting and champagne
toast at Palo.

From the Orlando International Airport, the port is just
a short drive along Florida's Beeline Expressway (S.R.
528) to reach the cruise terminals, restaurants, parks,
beach and other places of business and recreation.
Port Canaveral is even closer to Melbourne International
Airport. From the airport follow signs to eastbound U.S.
192, cross the Indian River and turn north on SR A1A.
Drive along the coast until you reach Port Canaveral. Or
take, U.S. 192, westbound to Interstate 95 and drive
north to the Beeline Expressway's east exit.
From the Daytona Beach International Airport, go east to
Interstate 95, then drive south to the Beeline
Expressway's east exit.
Once you arrive at the port, finding the cruise
terminals is easy. Signs along the highway clearly chart
your course. Cruise Terminals 5 and 9/10 are located on
the north side of the port and can be reached via SR
401. Cruise Terminals 2, 3 and 4 are on the south side
near Jetty Park. Just turn left off SR 528 into Port
Canaveral, then make a right turn onto George King
Boulevard and follow the signs.
Parking at
the Port is $12 a day.
Wireless Internet
Service
If you
have a wireless ready laptop, you can use your personal
computer to access the internet while onboard both the
Disney Wonder and Disney Magic. You will find several
"hot spots" throughout the ship, including most
staterooms. Printing is not available for wireless
connections
Cell Phone Usage on the
Disney Cruise
Cell phone
service is available through most major providers (AT&T,
Verizon, Sprint, Team Mobile, etc.) The ship must be 8
to 10 miles out to sea before you can access cell
service. NOTE THAT SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE
STATEROOMS. Common areas will not have cell
access.
Disney
recommends that you contact your cell provider prior to
sailing. They can advise what is needed to arrange for
access. International roaming fees will be billed to
your account. (These charges vary and can take up to 90
days to appear on your statement.)

CRUISE NEWS
Pirate Ghost Ship Sighted at Disney's Castaway Cay: Disney Cruise
Line Guests Get Up Close with Hollywood's Newest Star
CELEBRATION,
Fla., July 5 /PRNewswire/ -- A mysterious pirate ship has landed
at Disney's private island, Castaway Cay, providing Disney Cruise
Line guests with a swashbuckling photo opportunity and a sneak
peek into movie- making magic. Guests sailing on a Disney Cruise Line vacation will
discover a 175-foot ghost ship anchored at Castaway Cay. The ship
is the Flying Dutchman, which makes its silver screen debut on
July 7 in Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. The
Flying Dutchman's commander is the legendary Davy Jones, who
serves as nemesis to the infamous pirate, Captain Jack Sparrow, in
the upcoming film.
"The Pirates of the Caribbean movie franchise is extremely
popular, and having the Flying Dutchman ship at Castaway Cay is
something truly unique that only Disney Cruise Line could offer
guests," said Disney Cruise Line President Tom McAlpin.
The intricate film prop is unlike any other pirate ship -- with
ragged sails and a barnacle-encrusted bow, the ship looks like it
was raised off the ocean floor to haunt the open seas for
eternity. The Flying Dutchman will provide a scenic photo
backdrop, and guests renting boats on the island will be able to
get an up-close look at the ghost ship.
While visiting Castaway Cay, guests should also be on the lookout
for the infamous Captain Jack Sparrow. With the Flying Dutchman
lurking just off the shore, the eccentric captain may be spotted
around the island. Guests are encouraged to approach the hero and
hear his tales about adventure on the high seas. The charming
pirate graciously accepts requests for portraits and autographs --
if guests can manage to track him down.
Disney Dreams Stage Show and
Sail Away Party Enhanced
The
award winning "Disney Dreams" stage show has become
"Disney Dreams...An Enchanted Classic." Timon and Pumbaa
will be making their debut aboard the Disney Cruise Line
when they appear as part of the Lion King's "I Just
Can't Wait to be King" and "Hakuna Matata" numbers.
During
the "Beauty and the Beast" number, you'll have "snow"
falling from above while sparkling pyrotechnics enhance
Cinderella's transformation from rags to radiance.
Best of
all, Tinkerbell will "fly" overhead leaving a glittery
trail of "pixie dust" in her path.
On both
ships the summer voyages will kick off an expanded Sail
Away Party. The interactive dances will feature new
music, the Disney characters and the "Ariel Vision"
jumbo screen. It might be you seen dancing on the big
screen among the special effects planned during this
celebration.
Disney to
build two new ships
2/22/07 - Bob Iger,
President and CEO of the Walt Disney Company announced
that Disney Cruise Line will be adding two new ships to
its fleet.
The new
ships will be built at the Meyer Werft shipyard in
Papenburg, Germany and will be launched in 2011 and
2012. Each ship will be 122,000 tons with 1250
staterooms. They will be two decks taller than the
Disney Magic/Wonder.
Disney Cruise
Schedules Holiday Festivities
Disney Cruise Line passengers who sail in December can celebrate the holiday
season with a tree lighting ceremony with Disney characters, holiday decor,
carolers, gingerbread house building and even faux snow that falls. Both Disney
ships -- Disney Magic and Disney Wonder -- are decked with boughs of holly and
filled with holiday themed entertainment and activities for the entire family.
It starts at Disney's private cruise terminal at Port Canaveral, Fla., where
holiday decorations and Disney characters await all who board a Magical Holidays
sailing. Onboard, guests find highlights including a nearly three-deck-tall tree
in the atrium lobby, where "snow" magically falls; a Christmas Day
visit from Santa Goofy, with surprises for all the kids; international holiday
caroling by crew members; family time to design and decorate their own
gingerbread houses; a reading of "'Twas the Night Before Christmas" by
Mrs. Claus; traditional holiday feasts in Disney's three themed dining rooms;
and multiple faith and inter-denominational holiday services. .
On the
line's private island, Castaway Cay, guests will be treated to a "Magical
Wonderland" as the sandy Bahamian island is transformed into a
"snowy" holiday hideaway. In addition to faux snow flurries, guests
will see Christmas trees, Mr. and Mrs. Snowman (with shell noses and tropical
shirts), carolers and a sleigh full of presents. The island's tram that
transports guests across the 1,000-acre island has been decorated to resemble a
reindeer, complete with antlers and tail. At the beach, families learn the art
of sand sculpting, while kids can make candy cane reindeers, paper plate angels
and snowflake-mobiles
