Coordinators can arrange all of the details. Princess Cruises made maritime and marriage history when the line implemented legal weddings “At Sea”

performed by the “Master of the Ship” while in international waters. Still today, we are the only line with this unique program.

Decide on a Cruise and Wedding Date

8Remember, the bride and groom must be sailing to hold a

wedding onboard.

8Contact your Travel Agent or the Princess Reservations

Department for a cruise quote.

Call the “Tie the Knot” Wedding Department to check availability

on your Wedding Date and Location

8Your Wedding Coordinator can place your date on a courtesy

hold for three (3) business days. It will automatically cancel

if payment has not been received.

8Please confirm with your Wedding Coordinator that the

courthouse is open on your wedding day as some courts are

closed on local and national holidays and some weekends.

Place a Deposit on your Cruise with your Travel Agent and obtain a

Reservation Number

8Discuss flight, hotel and transfer options with your Travel Agent.

8If you are being married on the day of sailing, we strongly encourage

you and your guests to arrive at least one day prior to your

wedding.

8Check out Princess’ Cruise Plus hotel package for your pre and

post vacation.

8All wedding couples and guests with a wedding on the day of

sailing are requested to be at the pier by 10:30 AM. Princess’

Transfer program may not be available for wedding parties from

the hotel/airport to the ship due to the time constraints.

8 Remember, your cruise must be booked prior to your wedding.

8 When booking your wedding, you will need your cruise

reservation number, and payment in full for the wedding

package and marriage license to reserve your wedding day.

Complete the Wedding Contract and Return it to the “Tie the Knot”

8 After you book your wedding, your Wedding Coordinator will

send you wedding guidelines for your selected wedding

destination and a wedding contract. Once your Wedding

Coordinator receives your signed contract, your wedding will

be officially booked.

Start compiling your Wedding Guest List

8 Send out a “Save the Date” letter with cruise details to your

guests which will be sailing or traveling to the wedding.

8 Your Wedding Coordinator is available to answer questions at

anytime during your planning stage. We encourage you to call.

8 Although wedding and reception extras are not required to be

booked and paid for until 60 days prior to your cruise date,

they are booked based on availability.

8 Shoreside wedding photographers, videographers, entertainment,

food and beverage, cakes, fresh flowers, etc. are not permitted

location based on your final requests submitted no later than

45 days prior to sailing.

Sign and Return your FINAL Confirmation Letter.

8Your Wedding Coordinator will send you a Final Confirmation

Letter detailing everything that you’ve purchased for your wedding.

You should review the letter completely to confirm everything is

correct and return the signed letter to your Wedding Coordinator

to secure all your wedding arrangements.

8Inform your Wedding Coordinator when you will be arriving for

the cruise and where you will be staying prior to your cruise.

Inform your Guests of Cruise and Wedding Details.

8Please ensure you have passed on all the information regarding

your cruise and wedding to your guests. We have provided a

letter that you may send to them summarizing your wedding

day guidelines.

Review your Final Documentation Package.

8 Your Travel Agent will send the Final Documents approximately

14 days prior to your departure.

Prepare and pack for your Wedding and Honeymoon Vacation.

8 Don’t forget all of your accessories…especially the rings.

Double check that your travel and wedding documents are in order.

Check with your airline about hand-carrying your wedding attire on

the plane.

Eat a hearty breakfast.

reservations and payment

All ceremonies and receptions are booked based on availability. All weddings

must be booked and paid in full at least 45 days prior to your cruise.

If possible, weddings may be booked within 30 days at an additional late

booking fee of $250.00 USD.

All wedding packages may be paid by check, money order or credit card.

Visa, MasterCard and Discover are accepted. All pricing and payment are

in US dollars. All pricing and sales tax is subject to change without notice.

“Tie the Knot” Weddings reserves the right to substitute items of equal or

greater value.

“Tie the Knot” Wedding Coordinators can arrange most of the services

offered at a land wedding, however, there are limitations onboard a cruise

ship and at some of the ports of call. Extra Touches should be ordered and

paid in full as soon as possible due to the limited availability of some services.

Extra Touches must be booked no later than 45 days prior to sailing.

“Tie the Knot” Weddings reserves the right at any time not to book or to

cancel a wedding onboard one of the ships if “Tie the Knot” Weddings feels

they will not be able to accommodate the couple’s needs or meet their wedding

expectations.

ceremony and reception

Times and locations are set based on the requirements of each event and

will not be confirmed until thirty days prior to sailing. Onboard weddings

are normally performed in the chapel (if applicable), on deck (weather permitting)

or in one of the onboard lounges. Land weddings are normally

performed at a beach, garden or gazebo. All times are approximate and may

be delayed and land locations may be substituted due to unforeseen events.

Please note that some ports of calls or the “At Sea” weddings require certain

vows be read by law. Please ask your Wedding Coordinator for details.

wedding guests

All wedding packages were designed to accommodate the bride and groom.

“Tie the Knot” Weddings will allow up to 10 non-sailing guests to board the

ship for the ceremony at no additional charge. Princess will allow additional

non-sailing guests if you purchase a Wedding Reception; see the reception

section for more details. If you do decide to purchase a reception or have

more than 25 guests, an additional Wedding Coordinator is required. For

every additional 25 guests, an additional Wedding Coordinator is required.

Due to security issues, some ports of call do not allow non-sailing guests. All

non-sailing guests will need to present a picture ID when boarding the ship.

All non-sailing guests will need to depart the ship no later than one hour

prior to sailing.

your choice boarding

If you are being married on embarkation day, “Tie the Knot” Coordinators

will meet you at the ship’s terminal and escort you onboard once US

Customs clears the ship at approximately 12:00 noon. You and your guests

must carry onboard all of your wedding items since luggage checked curbside

may not arrive in your stateroom until after the wedding.

cancellations and refunds

Prior to 60 days: For a full refund of a wedding package or any Extra Touches,

written notice of cancellation must be sent to “Tie the Knot” Wedding

Department no later than sixty (60) days prior to sailing date. A full

refund minus a $150.00 US booking fee will be refunded. No refunds will

be issued for the marriage license or for the license processing. Within 60

days: No refunds will be made for cancellations made less than sixty (60) days

prior to cruise.
